TESTING FACILITIES AT HARSH FOR PVC RIGID CONDUIT PIPES
Each lot of HARSH rigid PVC Conduit Pipe has to pass a series of rigorous tests before it is passed on to the packing department. Conduit Pipes selected at random from each lot have to undergo the following tests as per the quality assurance scheme of testing and inspection of BIS as per procedural details provided in BIS 9537 part-III.
1. TEST FOR DIMENSIONS
(a) Maximum Outer Diameter.
(b) Minimum Outer Diameter.
(c) Minimum Inner Diameter.
(d) Uniformity of Wall Thickness
2. TEST FOR MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
(a) Bend Test
(b) Compression Test
(c) Impact Test
(d) Collapse Test
